Moin Landlubbers! New spirit “ twenty-nine”??? first: please, on for me. At the Bike-Marathon in Stattegg/ Graz on the grounds of “bikeculture” I tried a new bike, Heiko Eisner Put me on a bike from next year, a MTB with 29inch, from the Bikestore North in Graz. On Saturday were the races of the one-wheel down hill and of the junior MTB-Challenge, so I placed my butt on the new bike with the 29inch wheels and tested the bike and the course. The change from a regular MTB to an 29inch bike is easy. I felt quite comfortable. I started on the Trek MTB Challenge SMALL ( 35km-1300m of altitude) , so I didn´t be confronted with the Stöckl-Monster. But I still had to ride the 28%ascent up the Leber, like all the others particiants. On fast gravel ways, flat power passages and on all the downhill parts, I were able to dismiss myself from the group with a friendly „ Servus” and began to take the bull by the horns. O this passages the 29inch wheels did their famous job and played up their amenties. When I looked back after a few meters, no one was able to follow and so I finished after 2:05:46:5h, as the best german rider and only on the 4th in my age-group and 60th place overall " www.sportograf.com " One year after the MTB-World Championship, did organizer Jürgen Pail is damn good job, with this festival of Bike-Marathon, One-Wheel downhill and marathon, junior MTB Cahllenge and blues music of its best.
