Moin, Moin my dear sport-Pirates,

It´s been a long time since I made my last bulletin and a lot of things happened in the meantime… Well trained and highly motivated I arrived back in Germany from my exercise camp on Fuerteventura in march. So, the weather became a little bit better in good old Germany, so you were able to start your outdoor-training, but…” being overly confident is rarely a good thing”, suddenly my knee gave a noti e to me, well it screamed to me. So…well…followed by 7 weeks off illness, operation of my knee, really stupid comments from my work, for example. You and your hobby was the one of the nicest. But firstly lots of calmness, physiotherapy, massages and about 8kg´s more on the scale, but finally I was able to to stand alone on my legs again. After I had to cancel lots of competition, events and “holidays” in the sunny south, I really looked forward to my first event, a middle distance triathlon in Hannover… Well...after lots of washing, my wetsuit became really tight... Finally after 1,9km and 30min, the washing was over again, once one of my key skill and at once...“breathlessness“. No, thank for asking, its not sunburn in my face, not yet... Lucky me, the cycling went quite well, we had to ride 3 rounds with each 30km, and after 2:32h I made my way to the running course…and my biggest fear…running with a weak knee… I was a little bit nervous, when I made my way to the running course… And who, tighten my belt??? My knee did a good job that day, even in the heat of Hannover... Finally the 21,1kk were all over again and after 5:02h I crossed the finish line, everything was fine, even my knee didn´t hurt that much as my... but…pain is worth it…even on a short distance. Having said this, Hannover is worth travalling. Swimming in a channel, good bike course and the running also, if you got enough power left to enjoy the scnenery. But everything did a good job that day, my knee and… except of my sunburn.now I can concentrate myself on biggest goal this year the … www.ostseeman.de on the 1st of august.
