Traditionally
all the PIRATES met on the second weekend in september in Plettenberg/
Sauerland, for their team-championships in MTB and running. After
all the success in the last years, it was time again to hoist
the colors in 2010 on the podium again.
But it became very difficult in the last two years…the PIRATE
champion of 2008, Andre Zamponi, did a fabulous time for the 42km
distance, 1:44:11h but he finished only 6th, another favorite,
Robert Karasch, had to cancel his ambition of the title, after
5km in the race, because of a crash, but at least he finished
with lots of cuts and bruises on the 12th place. For the ladies,
Doro Richters was on the start and one for the podium as well,
but she had to drop out of the race because of squirts.
Sadly, this year, Robert Karasch and Benita weren´t here, but
we activated some other top guys on the start, just to say some
names…Sam Beaten, Jörg Hüter, Niels Mortensen, Peter Rast and
Anne Bertram from the winning 24h team of Duisburg…but lots of
the other will attack again…
So, I´m calling nor shouting for all the Pirates, all over the
world to participate and to enter Plettenberg on the 11th and
12th of september :-D
Even the usual programm, will be taking place, on Sunday evening,
Pirate Elvis will be defend his PIRATE-PARTY-title at the local
Pirate-pub…
