Our
target on saturday was the cycling track in Bielefeld. There was
a pacemaker race with good friends of mine, Patrick ( Patte )
Wolfrum ( “my “ EasyTours bike guide and relay partner ) and Jan
Eric ( Blacky ) Schwarzer ( www.ma-13.net ). Ansgar Klesse, a
Pirate-fellow traveller joined me on the 150km course, with on
of his favourite patterns : I´ll just ride to work by bike…
Early in the morning on Saturday we started up for a nice, hot
and sunny day.
We made our first break at the „ Dümmer Lake“ where we thought
about giving up and rather jump into the waters...
...but than, we only re-filled out bottles and went on...we´re
still had a target…
…and Wetter( “weather”), we had as well…
Several servise station later we arrived at the cycling track
in Bielefeld. Now it was the turn of the other to ride and sweat.
Firstly we showered to get back to regular temperature…
...our next station was the shadow with coke and cake to fill
up our storages again for the following duties…
Duty 1: holding the bikes
...then suddenly Patte started up to make body contact...
…while Blacky thought about sitting in Mallorca at the beach promenade.
Duty 2 : PUSHING !!!
Ansgar tried his best to catch me...
We don´t know what Blacky thinks about in this moment…
Patte is a little bit more dogged…
After he tried to sprint, Ansgar had a break down...
After the first race, the coolest guy on the track were choosen,
but Blacks didn´t win this time…!
For the second run, I let Ansgar pass me before the start…
Lucky me, I had a sun cover, of the new Pirate summer collection…
You don´t have to ride yourself unconscious on the track, it also
work a different way...
I think, a good idea for the next pasta-party is…spaghetti ice…!!!
The last picture is for the winners of the day !!! Brilliant performance
of the cyclists at this temperatures like in an oven. He event
was well organized, at this point, we have to say thank you for
the work and help of the voluntary people, without them, a event
like this wouldn´t work. The cake was really tasteful ( and the
cake with strawberries, I´ll eat on Mallorca soon..).
