At hte end of my triathlon season I travelled to my friend Stephan
in Ratingen to participate in a sprint.distance-triathlon. Also
participating was Maren as a photograph and our dog Benni as pacemaker.
After I fixed the starting number
...we went to the swim start in the pool.
While we were swimming( 500m), it started to rain and did not
stop before the end of the race.
Wet streets are not that good for cycling, and than as well ascent
with cobble stone pavement, shortly after the transition area.
The 20km was a 10km course you had to ride twice,with 3 U-turn
points and 80m of altitude.
I finished it, with an average speed of 32km/h
The "flying" Pirates.
For a good atmosphere you had to cheer up the viewers.
At the end, two rounds with 2,5km.
First softly uphill…
…than fast downhill.
Both of all.
And reaching the finish easily...I´m already there
and Stephan did his best and pushed it really hard
Last food supply. Last look on the watch and my triathlon season
2010 is over.
