Cycling marathon in Rockenhausen

On the 22th of may 2010 the cycling marathon of Rockenhausen were on the schedule of the Hockenheimer Pirates. Rockenhausen is located in Donnersbergkreis and this is in Palatinate. www.rsf-donnersberg.de I wanted to compete on the 303km course, but soon I was taought a lesson becasue of my this years body shape. Getting there was a hell ride either, we lost our way, twice. And so, I was getting nervous, because I wanted to start at 6:00 or not later than 6:30. When we finally arrived, everxthing went quite fast, registrate, take out your bike and off we go at 6:45. When I wanted to start my bike computer( Hac4) he lost control, I had a flat battery, so I also had no cross-section and why? Because I´m too silly for changing batteries. Congratulations to myself… Finally everything came up to a good start, with 5 degrees in the morning I pushed the throttle, so I was getting a little bit warmer and started to overtake one after another and soon I had an average speed after 100km of 3okm/h, without drafting. But than I noticed that I rather should do the shorter course and not the long one, because of my body shape. The course was really ambitious, good and long uphill parts, quiet and low of tfaffic roads and wonderful surroundings, but the qualityof the road wasn´t the best ? But, how tey say? This makes tough and bring back you shape… I suffered for almost 3h because of cramps, but I did not gave up, becasue this makes tough as well. After all it was a felicitous event, the food supply wasn´t the best, beverages allright and the food, well.... At 4:00pm I came to the finish point with an average speed of 28km/h on 247km and about 3600m of altitude. Sure, it made fun, no matter I suffered in between and I hope to present you a trophy at the next time when I´m participating on a bike marathon and of course I´ll change my batteries on my Hac4.
