Moin,
Moin, |
on the 3rd of july I participated at the bike-marathon in Wetter
on the 49km course with about 1400m of altitude. For me, it became
a true red hot battle, with one of the hottest days of the year
with at least permanent temperatures from over 30 degrees, as
my tacho said, sometimes up to 36 degrees, some of the others
talked about 40 degrees.
Before the race I already knew, that I would have some problems
over the day, so I started very easy, but until the end I had
to suffer about vomitting and headaches. For the first I saw riders
to get of their bikes just a few hundred meters before the finish
line to lay or sit down for a while. From the 800 participants
arrived only 600 in between the time limit.
On the way I lost the possilbility of my view, because I wasn´t
able to clean my classes anymore with my all sweated jersey, so
I didn´t had the chance to see the way right, it became very difficult
for me during the single trails, but lucky me, in between were
some viewers who helped me cleaning my glasses with a clean and
dry towel.
Despite the fact of the hot temperatures, for me was my time really
bad and when I looked on the tacho at the end, there stood something
from 65km, okay 1 or 2 from and to the car, but 14km more than
???
Well, everything seemed good organized, some of the way markers
were replaced by the official team before the race, which have
been moved by some fools. With some more km on my clock, I can
retrack my time, okay, we put this down as an exercise race for
the coming marathon next weekend in Albstadt. The weather forecast
said, that it could be a little bit hotter than this weekend and
maybe a little chance of thunderstorms…wait´n see…sounds interesting.
Many greetings
