My seasonal high, should be again this year, as in the years before,
a long distanz triathlon. The www.ostseeman.de in Glückksburg,

Sadly, as several times before in the past, my job cancelled my
plans for this long distance weekend and let me work, in times
off the “ Summer hole”( time of not much work for the sevice during
the summer holidays), deficit of work and too much work for less
people, but…I´m just wining…
Well, as a matter of fact, I decided to do as a spare contest,
an olympic triathlon on the next weekend, for myself a short one
with the device: start, breathing in, finish, breathing out, ready
!!!
An olympic distance triathlon at the dam in Thüle ( 1-40-10),
was now on the schedule, so I made my way there, early on a Sunday
morning.
I was quite nervous, before the start, so nervous, that I forgot
my googles and my “ PIRATE Bathing Cap” at my car, so I had to
ran for it, because I only had 15minutes to the start
I´m not wearing that nickname for less “ Bademeister( Pool Attandant),
and I quit on 3rd place the water with a time of almost 16minutes
and made my way towards the long transition area to get quickly
on my “ Black Pearl” and on the 40km bike course. After 1:05h
I came back for a short visit of the transition area to get myself
on the 10km turn around run course, so that you vere able to know
on which place you are, which one you overtake next, or from which
you gonna be pass soon. I ran almost all the time between thew
13th and 16th place until shortly after the turn around point
, someone got in my drafting area, felt like he was glued to me
and kept me breathing hot in my neck. But 500m before the finish,
when I speeded up a little bit more, he wasn´t able to follow
me anymore, and so I reached the finish, with a running time of
43minutes, an overall time of 2:10h and on the 13th place overall.
