Harz Cup Altenau 2011

First, I rode to the “old town race” in Höxter on Saturday to ride the long distance of 114km. It took me as a single stsrter 8hours for that, but the lomng distance in the Harz, is something special. Above all, I rode with the 29er. The thing is not really faster, it is on long ascents even dully and slower and because of the additional weight, you need some power in your legs. But me and my shoulder felt really good that day, and this is the most important point, but when Andre Z. and Thomas Z. passed me, who started an hour later on the short distance, I thought for a short time, if I still come forward or I just stand It wasn´t enough for the podium, but at least I won over the inner swine. In my age-group I ended up on the 20th place and overall on the 43th, when I reached the finish, I felt like, I wanted to hug the whole world.
