Mad East Challenge without assessment !

I still got the winner dust from Duisburg on my bike, and with it I travelled directly to make holidays in Wiesenbad/ Erzgebirge. After 4years of patrolling the German-Czech-border, is that like cycling at home, neverending forests, mountains and trails.

What? Pressure under 2 BE, was it that less also in Duisburg? Who care´s, it was enough.

The trails were signed really good, how you can see...maybe Heather was here or she will come...???

I did it, the way it was told or written, but I could´ve done faster…

I always rode on the Annaberger Landring, about 50km long round course, than came the so called gypsy rock, but I haven´t found one, just one Pirate.

A few meters behind the rock, a sign....AAAARGH, of course no one here on the sign stood: no beer ( Czech- no pivo).

But there are lots of booze here in this region, just take a look at the names of it.

This one, will burn the shit out of you and lots more...

...., that you will confound your bike, with a vehicle like this:

But now heading for the Preßnitz-valley, right along the mountain river.

One trail after the other and more and more and more and more...

Here, at the waterfall, was a wonderful trail downhill.

....and than I reached the Free Republic of OberSchaar, no joke folks or a cock and bull story. Next to the Erzgebirge used to be in former days the Free Republic of Schwarzenberg.

I also found the headquarter of the republic, but I haven´t found a Head-Pirate. What a pity, I likely would have introduce him to you, with a picture.

So, just for your orientation, the mountains nearby, and because we were so silly, we just rode the Annaberger Landring, counter clockwise, and so only up hill.

Than I wanted to try it, downhill, but it wasn´t able to move the things…sadly…

But than I found on the next day a wonderful bridge at the Zschopau, now we only rode longside of the Zschopau- watching castles and castles.

This region is well known for his strange stuff, this licorice from this maschines tasted a little bit weird.

Just a few moments later we entered the castle of Scharfenstein, there they had good and tasty food, but we had some problems with the language, they said the cat is here, and it means the candle is hot, if nobody would have told me, I still would have searched for the cat in the restaurant, but we had cold dog for the dessert.

Nothing was holy for me, as you can see, I thought, this gem would do something for my inner, like the P-way or something, but I think it was angry with me.

Than it started to rain, like it never rained before and we had a really hard uphill passage, but heire was nothing with riding, just walking and carry your bik and at the end we had to turn around. SHIT.

Totally bugged out, we got downhill again, but than suddenly a wood gnome sits in front of me and hits the stone with a hammer. I said Whew, a mineral collector and he said, come here to me, do you want one. Of course I want and like you see, the stones here are more beautiful than the stones in Duisburg.

Our last trip should be the run for the peak of the Fichtelberg. It was also the finidh of the Tour of Germany and the Bike-Trans-Germany.

On our way there, we found a bike-parc in Oberwiesenthal. Of course we had to test everything.

Moni`s WORLD, like you see:

At the bike-parc, they soon found out, who I´m and only a few moments later, I was on my own on the course. For the first time the easy way, but later it became more hard.
- Yeeaah !!!

Further on over bunny hilly

and than the triple bunny hills…

Than the other trails thru the bike-parc, where you should ride down, we rode up. The Eisenberg had 1000m of altitude, don´t care, riding until the docto is coming, but we still wanted to ride up the Fichtelberg, well..

If someone is able to read a map the right way, he got some advantages, but who´s addicted to his MTB, don´t care about ways, paths o maps, he just ride on. But than the first hikers watch us, not really amused about it, why are they looking so stupid?, a few moments later we tried us directly at the cable car with 20%ascent on really bad gravel. Just a few meters before the peak, I got something like a black-out, or I was in need of some oxygyn. And the MTB´s of the Erzgebirge only watched us with eyes wide open. Yes, riding on a street??? Anybody can do that…

Here you can see the view on half of the height at the philosopher way:

In the mountain hut, with hot coffee, I found an awesome invention- this would be something for our new club house.

And at the weather station, there were thiese gloves, I don´t know why….
Cheerio Erzgebirge…

And if you really wanna push the hell out of you, how about this...

.

....they do it every year again !!

Cheerio
