Sparda Münster City Triathlon Juli/2011

The last contigent before theIRONMAN Regensburg. After having a real good breakfast, we pulled on our warm clothes and travelled to the harbor of Münster, while we had temperatures around 13degrees in july In the harbor of Münster, the 4th Sparda Münster City Triathlon should take place. We started over the olympic distance…1,5km swimming in the harbor of Münster, 40km cycling on a windy, flat and angled course thru the country of the Münsterland, but we rode only 37,5km and finally to run 10km right along the channel. The transition area, the finish area, the showers, the market, the open air cinema screen to watch the race, everything was inside a large hall. The swim course in the harbor, this meant, get in the water, swim 750m away, turn around and get off the waters. The normal chaos in the transition area. The fight against the wind and the clock, but the „ Pink Panther“ s running good. Easy going on the running course...not to waste to much enrgy before the IM Regensburg. The home straight, right in the middle of the large hall. Our results: Maren 6th place (AG)with a time of 2:50:06h and Reiner 26th place (AG) with a time of 2:29:29h Rainer and Maren Having said this: A wonderful contest and really good organized with lots of extra´s. Fair achievement for fais money. We can recommend this contest.
