It doesn´t hurt less,

at the 2nd time, even, if you already done it before. NO way, it can be worse, like at the Norseman Extreme Triathlon 2011. For those who don´t know: The Norseman is a triathlon about the Iranman distance ( 3.8km, 180km, 42,2km). You also need to have your own support team. The start for the swimming is by jumping out od a height of 5m from a ferry into the water. The bike course got more than 3000m of altitude and leads you across the Hardangervidda, Europe´s largest alpine plateau and the finish of the run is up in 1885m on the peak of the Gaustatoppen, when you´re fast enough, if not, if you haven´t reached the 32,5km point after 14:30h in the race you will directed to another finish. For the ones who will pass this point before 14:30h, will recieve a black finidher shirt and the other, only the white one. Well, having said this, in 2009 i recieed a white one, and this year I wanted to get the black one. But…DUH…Everything came different. First the start was misplaced by 20km, because the water in the regular starting area, was to cold, so you had to ride 200km instead of 180km. But one thing after another: Early, 2:00o´clock in the morning, check-in on the ferry 3:00h: My support-team already prepared the transition area. Human and machine are waiting… The first swimmer, almost got lost in the swell of the fjord. 7:00h: suddenly live is back again, the transition area is awaking… The support-team had to fight as well with the weather… There will be no summer feeling here, while we got 9degrees and unfolded rain, in august… Taking a break at point 110km, the rain was posthumous. Meters of altitude, the terrain and the temperatures are rising… 200km of scenery like on the moon, here you can see something rarely, a straight road….. 15:53h:2nd transition area. Finally after an endless ride of 9h. You aren´t able to cheer up anymore… Rule 23: Don´t let the other know, that you´re weak, no matter, how you feel… 22:00h: point 32,5km. The table of fate. Which way? This way? Allright, I already know the way… 23:53h:Reaching the finish. Awesome team-work…. The Gaustatoppen. I´ll be back. But only in 2013, I haven´t recieved a starting lot for 2012.
