OTV Mile in Oberhausen, the  "Long-distance" february/2011

On sunday was the first „ long-distance „ of this season in Oberhausen.. So, they call the not official measured running course over 10,1km. After Maren started here last year, this year we used GPS.

Our GPS said it was 10,4km.

But even, if you don´t know the exact length of the course, so, maybe a perfect time control will made it. Orderliness
is godliness…

We were warming up on the sporting field near by, with temperatures around 2degrees and cloudy sky, and after warming up a bit, we ran around the sporting field, as some kind of „ prolog“...

Because of the large amount of runners, you weren´t allowed to pass, while you were on the round in the stadium, and we thought, it would be a race here....
So, we had to warming up our ellbows as well, before we were getting started.

After some “ not legal” passings, we ran thru the Kaisergarten, a real nice parkway, sadly not being closed for us runners, so we had lots of „ involuntary” viewers on the course.

After three rounds thru the parkway, we had still some air left in our lungs for the finisher picture, just to…

…enjoy the hot after work tea…

Well, a certificate, you received as well.

Our results of the “ long-distance “ of Oberhausen

Maren 2nd place AG and 20th of 68 at the womens race overall with a time of 51:52min.
Reiner 22nd place AG and 89th of 275 at the mens race with a time of 46:59min.
Greetings
