P-Weg 2011

The adventure of the P-Way 2011 started with the trip there on saturday under best weather conditions. At 23:00o´clock I finally stood with my van in front of the gym and shut the curtains to get some sleep, without any interrupts of  snore or other hman or non-human noises. At the breafast I met the old-Pirate Armin and other well-known faces. When I get my starting bag, I also received my number: 159, and so I started from the first block. Less time to the start, time to get rid of  some needless fibers and to fix my bike. It was quite comfortable warm in the morning and so I decided to ignore the weather forecast. Than I met Moni and Thomas Büttner, and everytime you meet Moni, the sun is rising. Since Detmold, Moni and myself are really skilled in striking a pose for the cameras. Just before the start I thought: Please Moni stay close to me, so I don´t will get wet. Sadly, some of the folks of the purple cow stood in front of me and so I lost sight of Moni for a short time. The supply station I used to get myself some banana´s to get rid of my hunger. When I came to the long straight, I saw Moni again, but I didn´t got the power to get close to her again, maybe later, I thought to myself… Than it happened. Moni was out of sight and it started to rain, this is my weather, at every slippery trail, I saw my titan screw coming out of my shoulder again. At this moment I had so much power left in my legs, that I would easily would ride faster than Dano and Moni, but the mud on the track sucked all my strength out of my legs. So, I reached shortly( Yes Moni, I know, 7min aren´t short) after Moni the finish. Overall I ended up on the 79th place and in my age-group on the 33th with a time of 5:28h. With this result I´m satisfied under this weather conditions. And at the winner ceremony of Moni, I recieved weals on my hands from all the clapping. See you soon, André Döring
