Bike on the Ring 2011

"It was a wonderful experience, but I won´t do it again“. I thought on my way home. And for a long time I haven´t thought about as well, until Olaf ( bike smurf) ask me at the Pirate Exercise Camp on Majorca, if we ´re doing a relay team again at the bike at the Ring 2011. Even Karsten thought it would be a great idea and soon I knew, there is no wqay back for me. Well, two guys from the east and two of the west side  of Germany, now the 2nd guy from the west side was missing, but with Thomas, out relay team was complete. But we had some troubles to get a 2nd relay team, so I decided to register my East/West Team and not to wait for the answers of the others. Like last year, we arrived on Friday on started really on time to built up our  camp, and we got lots of place, because we checked the plans before we booked a lot of land. So, built up the plag pole, hoist the colors, is duty… Olaf showed us his new bike, you don´t see it, that it is and E-bike…. In the evening we ate a lot and even the guys of the 2nd team arrived…complete.... As you can see, the nutrition is enough fort he next hours… The usual picture of the funky bunch… Here you can see the whole bunch, in their glory.... Olaf is waiting for his asignment…. ...Thomas sent the next “Pallooka” on his way… ...as I said before, we needed to pose a lot... Stay tough and don´t forget the fun of the event ! See, Olaf is still smiling on his way to the camp... Next time, the speed got three digits… The change of the riders was pure fun, everytime you recieved some sound bite... ...sometimes it was for some “ deep talks” about the race, tactics and more... ;-) At the end…another picture of us, this time with a medal… It was a fantastic weekend with sports, fun and fun. A perfect stay together with a common goal of a wonderful experience. The result? We did´nt care much about it, but at least, we finished before the 2nd team… The planning for the year 2012 is in progress. We already gor three teams, a men and a women roadbike team with 4 and one mix-MTB team with 4 riders as well. If you´re interesting in participate, just call Ron or myself.
