The pentecost weekend of the Pirates !!

At the 11th of june we entered with success the bike-marathon of Rockenhausen in the wonderful Palatinate. Our new member Gerhard and myself decided us to ride300km and 4800m of altitude. And with success, for Gerhard it was the first time to ride such a long distance. But I gotta tell you, it was hard for sure, really hard, even on the few flat roads, where we just had…head-wind, and of cours up-hill aswell. We didn´t start very early, because it all was so wet and cold so early. Just from the start on , we held the speed high, because we wanted to end up with a good time,it was awesome, only 70k before the finish, it started to rain, but luckily only for a short time and the good weather came back. It was agood choice to ride the bike marathon of Rockenhausen, but for myself everything is allright, even the long tour, was a little bit early in the season of 2011, but I think my exercise during the winter time was allright after all. Afterall I gotta tell you, congratulations, the Pirates showed again, what they´re made off and we hoisted pour colors high.. Now, I enjoy my time at the  wonderful Mont Ventoux and gotta exercise a little bit more on my shape, wait and see if it works... Chain mostright  The bike-marathon-Pirates of Hockenheim
