Artic Waterfront…

Finally the grey and dreary weather was over…and now we had artic cold at the Waterfront. At the shore of the river Elbe, you had lots of “ Elb-trails” from St.Pauli until Blankenese, as well with some beach promenade... Well, grab your bike and ride on, but not on the path, right besides it lokks better…   While you got sand and some ascents on you way, you get a perfect strength-exercise. When I rode thru the “ Jenisch-Parc“ I though, it would be a nice place for an cyclo-cross race, but to boring for a mTB-race, but with a fantastic view. Also you found some ice passages, where you were forced to do some stretching „ voluntarily“ or not…. While we got a bright sunny sky, I wanted to test the ice, if it´s strong enough to walk or ride on. Afterwards I relaxed a little bit on a tree and watched for some yachts to enter or flotsam…but nothing visible.... Than circle a bit, hold your nose into the cold east wind and back off home after 30km, into the warm. It was a wonderful Sunday Hamburg trip with ice cold temperatures of -8degrees. Now I´m looking forward fort he next cyclo cross season to come…. Mel!
